Our Services

At CAM, we pride ourselves in being a complete technical publication solution provider that offers services for all of your current and future data requirements.

Technical Writing

CAM’s technical writers offer you the proven ability to turn complex subjects into easily understood instructions for users with varied skill levels and educational backgrounds.

Whatever your needs–new publications and updates for installation instructions, operator’s manuals, troubleshooting guides, a variety of maintenance manuals, system schematic manuals, maintenance requirement cards, service bulletins, and training manuals–CAM’s writers are skilled at developing accurate, detailed, and thoroughly researched information to support your products.

We strive for our writers to get their hands on the equipment. We always prefer to have them perform the procedures themselves. They learn how these systems work from the inside out. That translates into better documentation.

We author software documentation and hardware documentation. We have also documented trucks and trains.

By continually updating both hardware and software skills and by mastering the latest state-of-the-art equipment, CAM personnel are able to anticipate client requirements. New avenues of technology are constantly researched to achieve a higher degree of success. CAM’s goal is to produce and deliver “World-Class” documentation–on time and in a cost-effective manner.

Key Benefits

  • Reduce introduction of errors and inconsistency.
  • Reuse of existing validated procedures to ensure the highest quality.
  • Reduction in costs due to reuse.

We have on site illustrators with access to a variety of compatible software platforms that ensure compatibility with your existing engineering design software, e.g., Autocad, Catia, Microstation (Bentley), Pro E, Unigraphics, etc.

Technical Illustration

CAM technical illustrators have the hands-on experience and technical background to comprehend difficult engineering data and to understand the components they illustrate. Occasionally, we are asked to create accurate illustrations from nothing more than hardware pictures and interviews with the designer/engineer. Template Design

Template development has always been at the heart of CAM, Inc. enabling us to achieve our goal of total service provision for Acrobat, FrameMaker and FrameMaker+SGML. Our experience in ATA iSPEC 2200 documents has allowed us to develop many pre-approved templates that can be edited to match any preferred publishing solution. Many of our publishing systems are based on Adobe products, which we enhance with plug-ins and add-ons to address the demands of special requirements.

The PDF format is ideal for interactive online product catalogues that can be distributed on the Web, in print, or both. It is useful for providing easy access to legacy information and for archiving electronic documents.

Our templates, combined with training and support, incorporate good practice and provide advanced techniques to ensure documents and books can be maintained and updated efficiently in the future. It ensures that the power of FrameMaker is fully utilized. This will increase cost efficiency throughout your organization and publication process.
